It's a challenge for the Australian squad to set fresh records.

The greatest achievements have been successfully scaled.

This is the unit that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to an additional six T20 titles, and once went 1,294 days undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, the ones sought by the achievement hunters, are the only things left for a team that has achieved everything.

It needed until Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to complete their first ODI chase over 300, reclaiming their record for the highest in the female 50-over format, is, honestly, a testament to the bowling attack that have worn canary yellow over the last half-century.

It is hard for their batsmen to hold a record if not provided the opportunity.

In the end, the outcome of Australia allowing 330 runs was skipper Alyssa Healy getting an opportunity to produce her latest masterpiece.

Initially recognized as the 19-year-old niece of famous ex Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she first played in 2010 after Australia failed to win either of the 20 or 50-over World Cups from the prior year and has seen it all through 15 successful years since.

A T20 World Cup win happened three months after her first appearance and seven international trophies have come from 10 attempts across formats.

The tough gloveman was in attendance in Derby in 2017 when a last-four loss by India momentarily interrupted the successful run.

That loss "drove us to reconsider our benchmarks," Healy commented earlier.

At the next 50-over World Cup in New Zealand, Healy made 170 against England in the final and was named player of the tournament. She guaranteed her country would not fail again.

If this recent magnificent innings topped that previous effort remains open for discussion.

Certain people claim the argument supporting the pressure of a final. Others can counter with the test that comes when confronting a historic chase and a loud pro-India audience of 20,000.

What's clear is this hundred was considerably tougher to see coming.

The New Zealand onslaught in 2022 happened while she led the batting statistics, but this innings followed six innings in India from the beginning of the previous month in which she had been unable to reach 30.

"If you've been watching me in practice sessions, it was a frustrating experience because I feel like my form was missing whatsoever," said Healy.

"However when you step out on the field, your fighting spirit activate and you completely engage with the contest."

Healy's fighting spirit has consistently been her major advantage - and an irreplaceable characteristic in taking over from legendary former captain Meg Lanning.

She was tormented by India's promising player Kranti Gaud in the previous month's ODI series, fallen to the emerging pace bowler in every game, but this time it merely gave Healy's spark.

A single was taken off the opening delivery and from there the right-hander was underway.

"A chance to go out there and face the challenge with her and simply enjoy myself that way, sort of got me going," commented Healy.

She achieved fifty in 35 deliveries - her swiftest at a World Cup - and her ton in 84 deliveries while she punished short deliveries, hitting 21 fours and three maximums.

Once she was out Australia needed 66 additional runs at a run-a-ball - a manageable total now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"To chase 330 is new territory so I'm happy we have the assurance to do that now," stated Healy further.

"Ideally we won't need to do it again but, should it happen, we are confident we can succeed."

That comment will be the last competing nations at this World Cup need to hear.

During the last week a sense they will succeed regardless of circumstances has become more firm - this victory following success over Pakistan by 107-run victory despite being 76-7 at a certain moment.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before a match against longtime competitors England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a semi-final berth may probably be guaranteed.
